The Summer season is dedicated to helping improved ones games in a less competitive, learning environment. The three league Chameleoon/Cheetah/Shark format will return in the fall.
Homestead lanes is introducing the Future Stars, a Learn to Bowl League with the goal of teaching rules of the game, techniques for keeping the ball on the lane, and bowling etiquette. It will be a two game format with no official teams or scoring, just fun instruction. Since the focus is on preparing for league play, this is not a sanctioned league. Parent participation is recommended.
The Scorpions bowl 3 games with 3 juniors per team and is recommended to bowlers who understand the game and are working to exceed an average of 130. Coaching and guidance is available from our coaching staff, during and after league play. Tropies are awarded at the end of the season.
The Vipers bowl 3 games with 3 juniors per team and is recommended to bowlers who have achieved a 130 average and are interested in furthering their bowling skills. Coaching and guidance is available from our coaching staff, during and after league play. Trophies are awarded at the end of the season.

FEES
Future Stars pay a one time fee for joining that allows membership for all 11 sessions.
Fees for Vipers/Scorpions are due weekly and inserted in your team envelope. Payment may be in cash or check, payable to Homestead Lanes and can be paid ahead. Please ask the staff for help if you have any questions. A fee for days a bowler is absent is $2.00. Pre or Post bowled weeks are paid at normal rates.
USBC membership is required to bowl in the Viper/Scorpions. Bowler's fall membership is valid in summer. If you do not have a current membership, $14.00 must be paid to obtain a membership. This membership fee is due with your sign up sheet, cash or check payable to Homestead Lanes.
PRE- AND POST- BOWLING
Since the Future Stars is a drop in league, pre and post bowling does not apply.
Scorpions/Vipers have an oppurtunity to make up their league fames should they need to be absent. Due to Homestead Lanes's schedule and other leagues, arrangements must be made with the front desk to assure availability. The desk will help you print out your scores and submit them to the league. Weeks where a bowler is absent, but they make up the games, are paid at normal weekly rates.
SHIRTS
No order for shirts is placed for summer league. League shirts will be provided with Fall membership.
WEBSITE
Homestead's youth bowling program maintains a YAHOO Group website to keep everyone informed of the calendar, upcoming tournaments, etc. For security purposes, an invitation to join will be sent to your provided email address. You are not able to find the group without the invitation. Although it is encouraged, joining is optional.
